I am a hardworking, friendly individual who strives for perfection in the work I produce. My creative style is a hybrid of traditional and digital work, combining the best qualities of each technique and using them to create a unique style. My main areas of focus are illustration, typography, and web design.

EXPERIENCE


Mr Site (May 2009 - Present)

Working as Creative Graphic Designer, I have multitude of tasks. Recent projects include the rebranding of the company, the management of the company website and taking a lead role in the Mr Site KickStart service.

Let The Kids Dance (August 2008 - Present)

Working in collaboration with a new clothing company, designing artwork for a new collection of t-shirts and hooded tops for women which were released in July 2009. Areas of focus involved developing typography, illustrations and hand drawn elements. I created mock-ups of my designs and final artwork ready for print.

Slider Studio: Architects (December 2007 - May 2008 & October 2008)

In charge of the creation of icons to be used in a new piece of housing creation software called ‘YouCanPlan’. I also designed a promotional leaflet to be handed out at the Think ‘08 exhibition with another designer. In October 2008, I developed the Graphical User Interface for a piece of software called ‘YouCanPlan Lozells’, and also designed a self promotional advert and flyer in support of the new software.

Creative Leap: Designers (December 2007)

Responsible for the creation of a self-promotional Christmas card for the company.

Stylorouge: Designers (October 2007)

Involved in the album cover design for Sarah Brightman. Tasks included album cover research, rough drafts and sourcing illustrators. Also responsible for creating an animated ident for Cancer Research UK.

Gregynog Printing Press (May - June 2006)

An educational placement in order to assist completion of a University project. I developed skills in type setting, page layout, basic book binding and production.

University of East London (2005 - 2008)

BA (Hons) Graphic Design
An academic course encouraging development through experimentation and self
propelled lines of enquiry, taught by a team of lecturers from a variety of creative
backgrounds.

South East Essex College, Southend (2004 - 2005)

Foundation Diploma in Art & Design
Multiple disciplines were taught including digital art, sculpture, traditional
and modern drawing exercises, printing, fine art, fashion and textiles in
order to widen my knowledge and flexibility as a creative.

SEEVIC College, Benfleet (2002 – 2004)

A Levels in Fine Art, Graphic Design and General Studies, with AS Levels in
I.C.T and Design and Technology.


SKILLS

  • I am adept in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign also have a strong working knowledge of HMTL and CSS using various HTML editors including Dreamweaver, Espresso and Editplus.
  • Both Mac and Windows literate, and have knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and can work to required deadlines.
  • Have a good telephone manner and excellent people skills.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Print Room experience including screen printing, wood and lino cutting.
